A Community Conversation on Compassion, Action, and Hope with Marsha Porter-Norton, La Plata County
Writers on the Range, along with the Colorado Springs Gazette is sponsoring a talk by Marsha Porter-Norton. The former social worker will talk about compassionate outreach for mental health crisis and how the county will use the Opioid Settlement, $1.8 million annually for 18 years, as a down payment on an inpatient treatment facility for addiction and mental health. Afterwards there will be light refreshment and one-on-one conversation among attendees.
