Betsy Marston has been a working journalist for almost 50 years. She won an Emmy award for a documentary, A Tribute to Paul Robeson, for Channel 13, New York’s public TV station, and she was one of the first female hosts of a nightly news program, The 51st State. She was the editor of High Country News for 19 years and during that time also edited Writers on the Range, for 15 years, and Radio High Country News, for four years.
