I appreciate your point of view. I am not a gun owner. I was not raised in the culture. But I believe in letting everyone pursue their happiness in their own way.

However, my brother’s family was watching the Fourth of July parade in Highland Park. They are okay. I am deeply scared. Everyone I know is scared. Will we ever be able to take our kids to a parade again? So I am reading widely and trying to understand why AR15 style rifles are available at all.

I don’t pretend to understand what it is like to be a gun owner in Montana. I appreciate how hard it must be to advocate for responsible gun ownership within your community; and, I value your effort. It makes me feel safer. I wish more gun owners with opinions like yours were vocal in the press.

Since I am retired with signs of dementia I am not allowed more than one serious thought per day.
That said, it is very very hard for me to take this seriously.
HERE WE HAVE A PHOTO OF 2 GUN ENTHUSIASTS WITH WHAT LOOK LIKE SOME FOR GUNS I CARRIED IN SOUTHEAST ASIA. I did 3 tours as a Marine Sniper and Force Recon Leader.

Someone please help here. P.S. I do not regret serving but do not get this article. Please do not fill up my INBOX too much.
