The murderer did indeed hit three of our Wayne County demographics. But not all of them. One Wayne County friend read this post and pointed out that there are a lot of folks in the middle between the legacy LDS community and the move-ins. As she said, “Many residents of Wayne County, me included, don’t quite fit in any box.

“What about the Armenians that are here? And the Mexicans? They all like living here and have their own niche. And the polygamists, And the rest of us misfits. I think we are all one – citizens of Wayne County and not divided into groups.”

She actually reinforces my point about Wayne County’s solidarity. I just neglected to think beyond the groups who suffered most directly.
