A starting place is Theodore Rex by Ed Morris. Morris details how, for instance, TR was opposed to the constitutional amendment that gave black Americans the right to vote. There are many other examples of TR using white race as a reason for his policy choices. They do not age well, especailly compared to his conservation accomplishments.
