Both laws protect the public, wildlife and species not yet listed as threatened-endangered. Development interests contribute mightily to candidates for the state legislature and, of course, to our governor, soon-to-be presidential candidate. There are other excuses for undermining bedrock environmental laws but the goal is the same. Build baby build.
